Yesterday was without a doubt one of the blackest of days in the history of presidential campaigning in U.S. history. Only time will be able to put an accurate value on the results of actions performed by a few people who were afraid of their positions and careers. Due to some very suspicious allegations and nefarious innuendos, without a doubt the only apparently honest person running in this campaign for the next presidential election was forced to suspend his campaign.
Mr. Cain, you had the heart, minds and belief of the honest people still left in this once great country. People who remember a time when a person succeeded by hard work and perseverance, not by manipulating peoples perception, promising cake and delivering garbage if anything at all. Now we're stuck with a conglomeration of wishy-washy, namby-pambys who dance to whoever's playing the music and holding the purse strings.
It's a crying shame that a once great and powerful country, loved by many and idolized by a vast majority of the free world has become a play toy of the rich and powerful. A country started with a government based upon the unheard of platform "of the people, by the people, and for the people". No where else was the general populace told that they were capable of governing themselves or at least able to elect the people who were charged with crafting the laws that drew the picture of our country's growth. It was this picture that allowed this country to grow from a fledgling, uneducated entity to a country, that if it had wanted to, would have been able to become an empire to rival any that had existed in the past.
